Guest guest
Hi Ellen, welcome aboard. It sounds like you're taking ATD's & thyroid which is just catching on here. we call it " block and replace. " From what I've read, the remission rate is as high as 70%. I'm not sure what units of measurement you use for the lab tests so I hate to confuse you. you'll have to ask for the normal range when you get your results. For now they'll probably just check your TSH. The reference rate in the U.S. runs about 0.4-2.0. I'm glad the muscle pains went away. Could have been a temporary condition from the meds. , can you tell me exactly what you're eating just examples, so I can try this. I assume you're eating all whole foods. cooked? I've been looking at the agriculturist diet on stoll's page as a way of resting my GI tract and preventing allergy. , I sent a post to the other board asking Jack to log onto stoll's board so i could give hime eye and ocreotide info. i didn't even list the URL and it got pulled. I think Jake is reading this . All, I was concerned with Arem's (in The Thyroid Solution) contention that T3 needed to be taken seperately for the brain to absorb it. All the books I've read say that T3 is made FRESH from T4 in the brain. Also there are 2 types of T3, and the brain, pituitary and brown adipose tissue make one kind and the liver, etc.make another. So I wrote Dr. DeGroot from the U. of Chic, author of the online Thyroid Manager, and he confirmed this. T3 in the circulation from our meds does not go to the brain. T4, however, does. I'm sure T3 from the blood hits the nervous system, and maybe that's why some of us have noticed a difference.
