Guest guest
Medical Oncologist Tucker, formerly (though still connected) with The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute in Santa , California and more currently in research and practice in Singapore, asked that I pass on the following for those interested: “After looking at the mails circulating today, I began to wonder if any of the patient groups have any focused reporting or summaries available to them? While I am not in a position to provide patient oriented reporting for this specific meeting I wanted to suggest that people can follow along in real time via Twitter. I use an online app called " Tweetchat " [www.tweetchat.com]. All that is required aside from a Twitter account is to enter the hashtag (# symbol) of interest. The official ASCO hashtag this year is #ASCO2011. You can also follow people/accounts such as :@ASCOPost@ASCO@MaverickNY@rsm2800@drsteventucker (me)We all tweet about results as they come in.Also, I copied a scientist friend of mine, Dr Sally Church, who tweets and blogs about oncology pipeline drugs. She has a keen interest in prostate oncology especially. You may be interested to follow her blog at http://pharmastrategyblog.com/.Kindest regards,Dr TuckerSingapore " What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.
