Guest guest
If you are happy to participate in this study please do so. Request on behalf of the Skeletal Care Academy for your group's support in a questionnaire on bone metastasis Study: Improving the Quality Of Life of People with Bone Metastases Dear We are approaching your organisation on behalf of the Skeletal Care Academy (SCA), to seek your help with a new study/online questionnaire aimed at people who have prostate cancer (or their carers/family/friends), and who also have a diagnosis of bone metastasis. You can find the link to the study’s questionnaire further down this email. We would be very grateful if you would post details about the study on your website, or circulate information about it to your patient members who might have bone metastasis (or their carers). About the Skeletal Care Academy (SCA) This survey is being conducted by the SCA, an educational programme supported by the European School of Oncology (ESO), European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), the European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN), and the European Bone Marrow and Transplantation Nursing Group (EBMT-NG), and in collaboration with leading breast and prostate cancer patient advocacy groups. The SCA is dedicated to ensuring that people living with bone metastasis receive the highest standard of multi-professional care. The aim of the questionnaire The survey’s key objective is raising public awareness of the need to improve the quality of life of people who have a cancer that has spread (metastasized) to the bone. This survey represents a unique opportunity for people with bone metastasis (and their carers) to contribute their opinions on such an important subject. Taking part in the questionnaire The study’s questionnaire contains 17 main questions that are simple multiple choice, and will probably take about 15 minutes to complete (depending on whether comments are made). The information offered will be anonymous (no IP addresses are being collected). You will be able to read the results of the questionnaire when they are published on the SCA website (expected to be late 2011). The deadline for taking part in the study is Monday, 31st January 2011. This survey is sponsored by Amgen (Europe) GmbH. ---------------------- To access the questionnaire, please hold down your ‘Ctrl’ button on your keyboard, position the cursor over the following link, and left-click your mouse once: Improving the quality of life of people with bone metastasis [https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SCAUK] If you have any questions about the questionnaire, please contact the administrator, Louise Oatham of PatientView, on +44-(0)1547-520-965, or info@....
