Guest guest
<< I get these horrible pains right in the center of the breastbone. It feels like pinched nerves and muscles. I've complained about them before. Well, it's back. I lifted my mattress to tuck in the corner, and wham! the pain was intense and that was yesterday. If I move a certain way, it hurts like crazy. Does anyone else get this? >> , Does it hurt more when you inhale, and when you try to lay down? I get something similar to that in my rib cage at times, radiating up into my clavicle area. Unfortunately in my case it usually means I've got a hairline fracture in one of my ribs. A tiny little one brought on by bending forward too sharply or reaching or some other idiot thing that people do every day without thinking about. I've been on prednisone for so many years that my bones are like toothpicks. For anything in the chest area, if it's an unfamiliar pain, I would go and have an EKG and an X-ray done, at least once. It's possible to have a pericardial effusion causing that kind of pain. Not likely but possible. Once that's ruled out I wouldn't worry about it, but listen to your doctor, not me.
