Guest guest
From what I can tell by reading both posts, I got your whole message. I'm sorry to hear isn't adjusting to the boots (or brace as we tend to call it). My guess without know her would be that a good part of her crying is due to sheer frustration. For the first 4 months of her life, she could move her legs separately, but with the brace on, she can't. Our orthopedic warned us of this when Jakob got his when he was 8 weeks old. I know the first few days were pretty miserable, but we stuck to our guns about making him wear it. Does seem to have red areas on her feet where the shoes have rubbed her skin? We do see that occasionally with Jakob and they usually go away on their own in a couple days. Another thing, her feet have probably been very sensitive due to being in casts for so long. Although you say she is happy when you take it off, she really does need to wear it. I can't think of any reason why it should take over 3 weeks to adjust to it. I would consider calling her doctor and seeing what he says. Sorry I can't be more help.
