Guest guest
I have found that Salagen not only reduces the dry mouth assocaited with Sjogrens but also seems to lessen the headaches that accompany my RP. A while ago the group discussed that white thich substance that can be scraped off the tongue. It appears that this is really just very thick saliva, according to my dentist. He believes that the ducts that release the saliva from the parotid glands is clogged, hence the swollen glands and the thick saliva. I think that the Salagen promotes movement through the ducts, reduces the swelling and thereby reduces my headache. , Do you take any medication for the Sjogrens Syndrome? My doctor mentioned the med. that increases saliva but since I am starting on all these meds. he told me to wait and see how I do. I have also been having trouble with swelling of my salivary glands during bad flares. It scared me the first time it happened because I have not had that problem before.
