Hi Guys,

Just want to pass on my experiences with Nerve Sparing Surgery. I had it done at s Hopkins, June 20, this year. Since I am single and Catholic, I don't think I will have any problems with my sex life, if I ever do get married. Lots of Guys know this when they wake up in the morning. From most of the ladies in my social circles, that isn't as important to older woman anyway. I am 68 and had a Gleason of 6.8. My doctor said no cancer had spread beyond the prostate so I am probably cured if my future PSA tests are OK. Being an active guy, it was tough not to lift anything (over 10 pounds) for the last four weeks, although I cheated a little, also the leakage factor is something I am still dealing with. I'm told this is quite normal and feel I will dry up soon. For the first time I learned about Depends and Poise and being a engineer, I am amazed at the technology, they really keep you dry with no odor. I know we are all different but I am very pleased with the results. I was starting to have problems with a slow stream and now I feel like I am 21 again and could easily spell my name in the snow in a few usec. I have told all my friends about my cancer and the surgery since I want all guys to be aware of PC and get a PSA test. It's just a simple blood test, get er done. My first one was at 66 from my sister's urging and going to the doctors with me. Most of us guys need a good women in our lives since a lot of doctors are of the old school and don't think we will die from PC. Dying is one thing, but getting bone cancer is not a good way to go. Ladies bug all the guys in your lives, over 50, to get a PSA test and consider s Hopkins for a cure, if necessary. They are great, have a lot of experience and a excellent track record.

Best Of Luck,

Larry
