This is perfect example of how different we all are and how different Med's work on all of us, in my case the only thing that has somewhat put a grip on my RP was the Enbrel and Pred. Guest guest
It appears that not many people in the group are on Plaquenil. The reason I asked is that the drug, an antimalarial, is relatively benign given the other drugs being used (like Methotrexate, Dapsonse and Pred). I have had outstanding results using Plaquenil while MTX, and Pred have done little if anything. This may be a drug you may want to try. They do not know why Plaquenil works for RP or Lupus. It is an antimalarial. I believe that RP is caused by a bug, and it would make sense that Plaquenil works.
Guest guest
Interesting theory . I take Dapsone for RP and it is a Leprosy drug. Someone else mentioned to me a long time ago (I'm sorry, but I don't remember who) about mycins, the antibiotic drugs helping RP. Funny, well not really, how some meds work for one person, but not for another. Makes you really wonder what the link is that we all have to this disease. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> It appears that not many people in the group are on Plaquenil.
