Guest guest
<< They have 2 supervised visitations with their mother each month, they are always very stressful. Those visits are very difficult for me because I have such anger for all the girls have endured and contend with every day. The girl's have made so much progress but I often wonder where they would be if they had just received even the most basic care. >> Maggie, Oh boy can I relate on this one. Our girls had visits every 2 weeks also for most of the first two yrs we had them, then they got weekend UNSUPERVISED visits in which we provided transportation. Once we reported that " E " went in the same pullup for over 13 hours and it weighed a ton upon return--DCS actually had the nerve to tell us they couldn't do anything because there was no proof (her word against ours) Imagine that, a drug addict who let her kids languish in custody for 2 yrs vs foster parents the state supposedly trusted.... Anyway, after we got em back Christmas....they went back to every 2 week visits, of which the mom managed to screw up and miss at least half. then she pulled super stunts at the last one (sneaky, manipulative stuff to mess with the 7 yo's head, basically) so I sent a very clear email re: the neg. effect on her....we went to court last week and managed to get the visits suspended!! (after several yrs of anger on my part!!!) Termination court date is in april.... And for all of you who got angry right along with me about the new baby--THEY TOOK IT STRAIGHT FROM THE HOSPITAL!! I am so relieved!!!! (and the foster mom who has the next to youngest sibling took the baby, too, so I didn't have to, though I must admit, a little small part of me keeps thinking about that little one...) If you are wondering, it did test positive for cocaine. Still haven't heard anything on cultures on Mall or on the sleep stuff. But the Ped. today did explain tracheomalacia and gave us a paper on it. The only thing is that the paper said kids should outgrow it by age one. Oh well, not like Mall follows any other rules, so why this one? Not much can be done about it except sleep positioning, etc which doesn't work with older kids. JoJo's 9 month old check up was today (well child). She was ok with his weight even if not on the scale. Said he looks good, which is exactly what I thought too.. , I am sorry Kodey needs another tune up so soon, but hopefully that will get him good and ready for a healthy summer, eh? Have a fun nite out with the gals.... Take care all, Jen
