Guest guest
I just found out about a crutch replacement called STRUTTERS, check out strutter.net. I saw a story about 'Strutters' on NBC, They have been tested to give the patient a 22% energy reduction, patient heart rate average dropped with 38 patients: Strutters vs. crutches from 96 beats per minute to 76 beats per minute. Strutters are a functional othrosis that can carry ALL OF YOUR WEIGHT UNDER YOUR ARMS (up to 400lbs) with out crutch palsy. Also 45% less pressure on palms reducing likelihood of carpal tunnel syndrome. You can call and find out more at . I talked with Phil Lyons, he was very helpful and is meeting me at my office tomorrow to bring me both the Strutters(crutches) and a Sure-step(cane). My Hip resurface surgery is not until September but I live in a 4 level home with MANY stairs....I am going to learn to use crutches BEFORE I have my surgery so I can be more mobile after surgery. Just thought this might help some of my fellow surfacehippys. Cheers.
