Guest guest
- THanks for the response! I'm not sure what my ANA levels were the last time I had blood drawn. They did go ahead and draw blood again yesterday, just in case. I know I've heard other people make comments that they've had blood tests numerous times. I've read that these autoimmune diseases (e.g. Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis) can be very hard to diagnose. For example, sometimes people WITHOUT the disease have counts show up in their blood work that would indicate a particular disease, and others who are strong suspects for the diseases never have blood counts that support it. Wacky, huh?! ANyway, I kind of like this doctor's approach... instead of sitting back and waiting (for who knows what!), what's it really gonna hurt to give this medicine a try. It couldn't possibly be any worse than some of the other medications that I've tried, could it? And if there's a chance that it will help - then go for it! He did make the comment that I didn't have any joint swelling, but since I had the stiffness and pain - he could justify the attempt.
