Guest guest
Jeannette, Thanks, the same to you, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. I've been in remission since July, and the funny thing is that I knew than I had to learn to let go of the stress. The past few months have been very stressful for me, with my brother, father, my friend, my husband is now laid off. But, for once I've found the peace of letting go. Yes, there are times I get really down, but I know I have to get through them and think of myself. Funny, until remission I would let those things bug me, but I want to stay in remission as long as I can, so I am trying hard to control the stress. I was on a maintenance dose of PTU for over 2 yrs. before the remission, even if I had to go on the 50 mg. again daily, I don't think that would be so bad. For the first time in a long time, I've joined a diet group and I am losing weight. I've lost 11 lbs. so far, and doing weight exercises hoping to get some of the muscle loss back. 9-1/2 yrs. ago we built our house, I was one of the main helpers. My brother and I put in 16'x 2 " x 10 " yellow pine floor joists, I did all the carrying and lifting them out over the basement. I know today I could never do that. But, there is always hope. I am blessed to have found this group, the friends I've met here, and the education I've received. When I joined this group I could hardly navigate my computer. Thank you all for the past prayers and for listening. May all of you have a wonderful holiday season.
