Guest guest
- I got in late on the discussion... but it sounds like I'm having some of the same symtpoms that you're having. All I got out of someone's response to your original message was that you are experiencing pain and weakness. Is that correct? I should introduce myself... my name is Tami and I've had various skin problems for 7 years. I've belonged to this wonderful group for less than a year. My history consists of pruritis, eczema-like conditions, rashes and chronic hives... not to mention some hair-loss, sleep problems, battles with depression and now... low and behold... joint pain and muscle weakness. (My hands just ache and I wake up in the middle of the night and can't extend my arms because my elbows hurt so badly. And I am extremely stiff in joints after a 1/2 hour car ride and especially so when getting up in the morning) I'm scheduled to see a rheumatologist next week - my primary doc feels that's the next logical step. What have you decided to do? Hope I was on track. I hate to get in late on a discussion! Tami in Indiana
Guest guest
************ Hi Tami! ****************** I am so sorry you had to go looking for us in this egroup but we are happy to get to know you. You discribed to a T what I think the most of us feel like daily as well. I can't pick up my arms sometimes and my elbow hurt badly too. I go to itch and have to wait for the arm to reach my nose. I have a hard (stiff) time getting up out of chairs, cars, I can't get up out of this computer chair sometimes, etc. After a bit of moving around I am a little less stiff. I hope your reumotiolgist can help you. My mother had reumotoid arthritis. Do you have a family history of arthritis? or perhaps Reumatic Fever or MS? My brother had reumatic fever and I have Muptiple Sclerosis, they are said to be related illnesses. I too wake up with my hands & wrists aching or numb. So you see we know exactly what you are going through and that you are not alone. We will be happy to listen & respond any time. WE are in this together until we help the DRs find a commonality and perhaps, God willing, a cure or at least a treatment that helps us all live better more full lives. Keep us posted. We all share information in the hope someone will find a doctor who knows what were are going through or has the inclination to look into it, at least.
