Guest guest
Hi. My name is Laurie, I am 33 years old and just got out of the hospital today for the second time in as many months. I have Pancreatitus. I was first diagnosed in 1997 when too much drinking caused my problems. The doctors told me " you drink- you die " so I quit drinking, no problem. Now many years later I find this damn thing flaring up again and i can not understand it. I am 30 weeks pregnant and about 6 weeks ago, my 15 month old daughter and i were involved in a car accident that apparently left a cyst on my pancreas and iI have been in and out of four different hospitals since then. The first three hospitals didn't diagnose the problem and the fourth was finally able to help me. I have been there twice in the pst three weeks. Today I signed myself out against medical advise and now I am beginning to think I made a mistake. I am afraid of being sick again. How do you live with this? How do you treat it? The doctors seem not at all familiar with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Laurie
