Prevention's Guide Healing Herbs

March 2, 1999 pg. 74-75

Cat's Claw or [uncaria tomentosa] is being studied for it's anti-inflammatory

properties. It is used for arthritis, gastritis, ulcers, tumors, and intestinal

disorders reports De. Ara H. DerMarderosian, Ph.D., professor of medicinal

chemistry and pharmacognosy at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.

Interesting that arthritis and intestinal problems are linked. -- just a thought

Phil
