An interesting thing happened...

I found out yesterday that a girl from my homeschool group just had a

baby with clubfeet. I called her and asked who was treating the baby and

how it was going. Apparently there's an adult ortho in town who is

putting toe-to-groin casts on him weekly for a few more weeks. He said

that the bones in his feet are fine, but the tissues and ligaments are

messed up. Then he's sending them up to Gainesville and we think they'll

be seeing the same doctor we saw back in June. They're praying the baby

won't need surgery, but they haven't said either way yet. The doc in

G'ville is a surgeon, but he also claims to know Dr. Ponseti's method.

He's just changed the time in the brace. I sent her the link to this

list along with Dr. Ponseti's email. It was just really incredible

because she was one of the people praying for us when we came out to Iowa

in February.
