Congratulations Mike....from another Canuck. Sounds like you started the AP

about the same time as I did.

A question... Were/are you taking Doxy, Clindamycin and Zithromax at the

same time? What is your schedule?

Well, I'm sure now - I am improving! It's been 15 months, starting with

minocycline then 6mo later switch to doxy, in Dec adding IV Clindamycin, and

in Jan adding Zithromax.

My wife first noticed that I no longer hold the rail going up & down stairs,

and my walking is almost back to normal!

I still have pain, some swelling etc., but my mood is picking up. I was

outside last week smelling the fresh air when it hit me - I'm coming back to

my old self!

I've got a long way to go, but this disease is turning around for me. I

suspect the IV or the Zithromax started something, but WOW this is

encouraging! I'm 33 years old and the disease really hit my 2 years ago;

and now I'm seeing some hope.

To all the newcomers: stick with it!

suspect the IV or the Zithromax started something, but WOW this is

encouraging! I'm 33 years old and the disease really hit my 2 years ago;

and now I'm seeing some hope.

To all the newcomers: stick with it!

Mike,

Great stuff! I have been on the AP 16 months, about the same length of time

as you and Joe. When Joe posted his letter telling of 90% improvement, it made

me realize how much I have improved too. In fact, since I started taking my

anti inflams again, I have had tremendous gains. It creeps up on you and

sometimes unless someone mentions it, you don't realize how you have progressed.

The only pain I have is in my big toes, and that is osteo. I noticed it after

Joe posted because I took note. The only thing I have to work on is my stamina

due to being so inactive compared to last spring.

I am about an hours drive from London and my gp's mentor, an RD is in London.

He doesn't want to add Zithro even tho I've asked twice. Would you mind

letting me know who your RD who prescribes Zithro is. Maybe he could talk my

gp into letting me try it.

I am thinking of switching to Doxy too but have to find out more and hope my gp

will agree.

Thanks for sharing your good news.

Bev
