Guest guest
Just got back from two weeks in CT visiting my new grandson. (6 weeks old and adorable!) However, my " baby dandling " tendons are sore! I get de Quervain tendonitis in my wrists a lot and I guess I did a bit too much baby handling because my right wrist is really sore today. The trip was long and my knees really hurt on the plane and my ankles swelled up like grapefruit. I found I couldn't sleep on the bed there so I spent two weeks sleeping in the recliner. At home I have a memory foam pad on a mechanical bed. I keep the head and foot elevated so that I don't turn over on my right shoulder. I have slept on my right side all my life, and if I can, I will roll over on that shoulder as soon as I go to sleep and boy does it wake me right up! I still have to sleep in the recliner at home sometimes when I am really uncomfortable. My right hand is still pretty sore. The left one is not as bad, but I only have about 40 percent strength in my right one. I get so frustrated sometimes because I can't do something I want or need to do. I am still learning to live with this and it is hard for someone who has always been as active as I was. I am learning to cope. " two hands for beginners! " LOL. My Dr. is going to start me on DMARDs tomorrow. I don't know which ones yet. He was waiting for my xrays and the rest of my tests to come back. Hope there is something that will help me get back to my normal activities. Sharon
