You can get Melatonin at Walmart which has the brand name of Natrol, which is

usually 2 for 1 priced. You can get it in 1mg, 3mg or 5mg strengths. I

started out on the 1mg which in the beginning was enough but now since my

pain is so severe (am on Percocet now for pain which has just been approved

in Canada) in the lumbar/SI joints I am using the 3mgs and I take 3 with my

nite meds. You could also try the herb Valerian which has a relaxing effect.

A friend of mine uses 1-3mg Melatonin and 1 cap Valerian to help her sleep.

Try to go on the lowest dose and if it is not helping slowly add another

Melatonin. It takes up to an hour I have found to kick in.

Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine HCI - 10mgs) is a muscle relaxer which can also

help you sleep and if the 10mgs is too strong you can cut in half. It is one

of the best muscle relaxers available and not that expensive. I take 1 - 2 to

3x/day.

Elavil, I started with 25mgs 3x/day and it didn't seem to help so it was

pushed up to 50mgs 1 in the morning and 3 at night. It helps with the

twitching of my arms and legs which at times is so bad my entire body will

jump. The higher dose of Elavil will help with the depression fibro patients

goes thru and help pain. Easier to take 1 pill than a fist full I think.

I also take Buspar (20mgs 2x/day- Canada only has the 10mg pill) for my

anxiety and Clonazepam (1mg 2x/day) for my panic.

Another good herb to take is Milk Thistle (Walmart has it) which helps clean

your liver and promotes new cell growth. This is important for anyone who is

on a lot of meds. " My opinion only " . A friend of ours has cancer and she

asked her Dr about the Milk Thistle and he highly recommended it. Super

Blue Green Algae (Walmart $7 per 60) is another good one that cleans your

entire system. The Algae must be started slowly and take only in the

morning... some people find taking it later keeps them awake because it also

can give you energy. Keep the Algae in the fridge
