Guest guest
Hello in VA. I'm in MD. I was diagnosed with FMS this past summer, although I have been miserable for about 3 years or so. I have a 3 year old who is ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) and early ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder)and he's a real handful. He's 41 inches tall, 42 pounds and wears a 13-1/2 shoe and a boys' size 6, LOL. He is strong and full of energy ALL day long. I no longer can work. I was working part-time night to supplement our income, but the pain won out and here I am. I'm 32, and it's been hard on me, as on many of us, because it's just constant total misery. I hate to " whine " constantly, but that's how I feel. My hubby doesn't know what to make of this illness, and it's hard for him to understand. I wish we were closer, we could take turns watching the kids. All I want out of life is one day to sleep past 7 Hang in there. This is a great place. You can vent, laugh, cry. I haven't been here long, but it's a nice place I'm new!!!! Hello! My name is Kitts. I am from the mountains of Virginia. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in July of this year
Guest guest
, Welcome to the group. My name is Debbie and I have had Fibro since 97, but wasn't diagnosed until 99. You are 100% right about the cold weather. It does make this stuff worse. I don't know how you manage to chase after a 3 year old with this. I believe you need a standing ovation for that one!! There are a whole lot of nice people in this group and loads of information, so feel free to ask away cause I'm sure you're full of questions about Fibro. I know I was when I was first diagnosed. Once again, welcome to the group and I look forward to sharing with you. Debbie G. I'm new!!!! > Hello! My name is Kitts. I am from the mountains of > Virginia. Guest guest
, Welcome to the group. Glad you found all of us. This is a great support system here. All the people are so friendly and all care about our problems. It is great to have someone who KNOWS what is going on with your illness and share. Very comforting to know someone understands and is willing to be there for you. Take care. Sending Comfort and Peace Janice " I wish we could change our dials to AM instead of FM!!! It snowed here briefly yesterday and I missed it!! Smart enough to stay in and tired enough to sleep through it. I have fibro as a result of a car wreck that gave me other problems as well....so my interests are mostly former interests scaled down a lot...I'm sure you'll get a lot of support here...this is a group nobody WANTS to be in but since we are we make the group enjoyable...Dee > >List owner Bierman > >Add or view webpage links about Fibromyalgia/CFS. >http://www.onelist.com/links/ > > >~*~CHAT TIME:~*~ >MON Night >TIME:Eastern 9 Pm, Central 8 Pm, Mt 7 PM Pacific 6 PM >WHERE: /chat/ > >To write the list owner: The_List_Owner@... > >TO unsubscribe. >Go to: http://www.onelist.com/ to this list and unsub from it. Guest guest
, i'm fairly new to as of this month anyway, but everyone makes you feel at home, because we have the same thing in common. We try to encourage and uplift when needed, provide a listening ear when someone needs to vent, offer examples or solutions to things we have tried. I was diagnosed in June of 98, although it had been coming on for several yrs, but I didn't recognize the symptoms, because I had never heard of FMS or cfs. What I was contributing everything to was my work situation, my age, my weight although I had lost over 60 lbs. and was so proud of myself, didn't do me any good, because of the steroid shots ,and some of the meds. they give you will cause weight gain, so I'm back where I started. Yes, the weather will very much effect you . It will act like a barmoteter. you will know sometimes before the weatherman lol--but i hope u like it and stay with us and don't be afraid to put in your input, it could be of value to someone else. fibro hugs coming your way!!-ALA.
