second dose of mtx....still no side effects..Yea!

Took my second 12.5mg dose of MTX last night. Made me sleepy so I didn't watch

the end of the football game. Had to get up to go to the bathroom, since I'm

forcing fluids, but woke up at my normal 5 am, feeling fine. Had a great quiche

for breakfast, no nausea. So far, don't feel tired or light headed this time.

I think last week I was just tired from three days of horse show, not from the

MTX!

We brought our last two horses down from Flagstaff, which is at 7300 feet

elevation. Eleven inches of snow already and it was snowing when we left. My

poor desert babies were about to freeze to death! They were surely glad to get

back to a warmer climate, but they have so much hair I am afraid they will melt

down on some of our 80 degree winter days. They sure love it up there in the

summer though. When it is 112 degreese down here, 78 looks mighty fine. It

means that I will be getting plenty of exercise, though. Stall cleaning,

grooming, etc. Plus we are breaking two of them to drive this winter. Hope my

hands are better soon, as I need to get a good grip on the reins with the

greenies. They way they are now, they would pull the reins right out of my

hands. No grip.

I hauled eight wheelbarrows of manure out of stalls last week, and expected to

be sore and swollen the next day, but I was fine. Even the rainy weather didn't

bother me much. Maybe this flare is finally settling down after three months.

Anyway, I am glad to have my babies back down here.

Had a pretty good day. I was a little light headed, a bit ditzy (well ditzier

than usual anyway), but not really feeling bad. Took it easy anyway, and didn't

drive until I figure out just how I react to this. Hands are in good shape

tonight.
