I haven't been with the groups for any length of time. My

understanding is that this is a support group for those with

Fibromyalgia. If the description would have stated that it was a

group for those utilizing their faith in Jesus to help heal them,

then I could understand. It's hard to discuss politics and religion,

and in a group this large, understandably there is going to be quite

a diversity.

I have friends who are Wiccan, Atheist, Buddhist, Jewish, Catholic

and Christian. I have friends who celebrate Ramadan, Christmas,

Hanukah (sorry for my poor spellings), and Kwannza. If I sent them

cards or posts that went on quite a bit about Jesus, they might be

offended, but they are my friends and would forgive me for it and

move on.

I feel that leaving the groups just because someone politely stated

that they are a Wiccan and do not feel like hearing very long posts

about Jesus is acceptable. Of course, there are times when a private

post would help in a lot of situations, or perhaps mediated by the

list owner.

I for one like having a place where I can come and vent about how I

feel, to people who really understand how I feel. I do not mind if

someone says " Bless you " or " I will pray for you " , but a four-five

paragraph statement about Jesus just may be too much for the topic of

this group.

I felt I had to say something because just because I am new doesn't

mean I don't have a voice in the group. There are people who type in

all capital letters, which in " computerese " is screaming. I don't

say anything, because I don't want to ruffle feathers, but it is VERY

hard to read. I use all caps such as in the last sentence to

emphasize. I appreciated the reminder for paragraph breaks though.

They do help.

Please let us all get along and not have a mass exodus because

someone stated that their opinion, that's all it is. I quote, " Why

can't we all just get along? " I am not sure whom I am quoting, I

just know I am.

We have enough pain and misery in our lives not to have to worry

about it here
