Guest guest
, I am so glad that you are feeling better. I am also. I'm very happy about this. My headaches and dizziness has improved. I can now drive to my PT since it is only 5 minutes away. Hope everyone is feeling better. I think everyone should share feeling better like did. It gives me hope at least to know that someone is doing better. Take care, Hoping everyone is feeling better

Guest guest
Hi Prinny, Great news. I remember the day I was coming home from who know where and found my house on the first try. I live on a dead end street, so that was an accomplishment. I also remember the first time out without help. It was great. Had to come home and nap, but I had a happy heart that day. Guest guest
Glad to hear it. Are you on Mepron and Zith? Hopefully it will stay that way. I am on my third round and feeling better than I have in months. Let me know how things keep going. hugs Amy
Guest guest
Amy, I am only on Zith 600 per day. I haven't had the mepron yet, they don't think I have babesia. Hugs, Connie
Guest guest
Mark, I'm glad to hear you're doing so well -- keep it up. I wouldn't necessarily dismiss taking a new nsaid (Celebrex) as the cause of the turn-around. I switched nsaids from Naproxen to Relafen and started to improve virtually overnight myself. I think it goes to show we all respond differently to different medications and why it takes so much trial and error to see what seems to help each of us. I'm hoping the use of a more effective nsaid for me will help the Minocin to do its job better. Maybe you'll find the same, too, at least I hope so. a > " HOLMES, MARK T. Guest guest
Exercise is known to be the great pain reliever. In fact you might be interested in the book Arthritis: What Exercises Work by Dava Sobel and Arthur Klein. An excellent book, well written and nicely illustrated. May help you exercise other joints safely as well, thus helping even more than your feet. All that exercise is probably releasing endorphins as well which help to reduce pain. Keep walking! Another piece of equipment that I find I can use without hurting myself is a Nordic Trac Xski machine - gives mt legs a good workout as well as tones my arms and shoulders and I can moderate the pace. Guest guest
A lurker for a whole year..............amazing !!! Hi Lynn! You have my admiration, some of just can't keep our fingers under control and in my case ..............anything else under control either!<grin> Thanks for sharing your good news with us, it really confirms all the things we keep hearing, like 'use it or lose it' and Dr Weil is a very strong advocate for the benefits of walking. Sometimes we dismiss these sorts of uggestions thinking that they don't apply to us because we are so disabled or in too much pain, so your posting is really valuable! I takes courage to do what you did despite the pain, well done!! And now you are seeing the results, that's just great<warm hug> Marathon next year?!<grin> hugs, lisbeth rheumatic feeling better >Hi- I have been a member of this group for about a year but have never >posted a message before. Guest guest
Hi all, Just passed through several weeks of anxiety/depression hell. Here's what I think happened. The Flagyl probably built up to a toxic level for me (after nearly 4 months) and combined with Zith cause a great deal of anxiety. I tried SSRI's to deal with anxiety and oddly they pulled me into a much greater anxious depression. I tried going off Flagyl and so many symptoms came back, I went back on and tried other meds to deal with horrific emotional state. Finally this week I went off Flagyl permanently and am trying amoxy and biaxin. I feel fine again. I am now sure that this wasn't " psychological " . I did start a new anti-seizure med that's supposed to help with depression. I'm not at a therapeutic level yet so it can't account for my feeling better. I think I'll stay on it though just in case this depression returns. So glad to be back in the land of the living, beth Whew, there are some pretty dark spaces in my psyche. Guest guest
Hi again,. So sorry to hear you were going through such a rough time with anxiety and depression. I have heard that Flagyl meds will cause this, I never tried the drug so I cannot truly understand how and why this happens. Wondering what the anti-seizure drug is that is supposed to help with depression??? I am on Neurontin, is that the one you mean? I am taking it for nerve pain, and believe me it does help a lot. As for depression, I swear by my 30mg of Paxil, it really helps me, sad that not all people do well on it. I would rx it for the world if I could. Anyway, welcome back Connie K and beth to the Land of the Living Lyme victims....that's depressing in itself. Guest guest
The antiseizure med I'm taking is Lamictal. Recent studies show that I can be helpful with treatment resistant (unipolar) depression. It's a mood stabilizer really, not an antidepressant. I'm not up to therapeutic dose, so really don't know if it's working yet. It's wierd to me how I can't take SSRI's (Paxil and Zoloft) now when they used to work at least for awhile before. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been lurking, but reading the last couple of weeks. Day by day we have been working on getting things better for my daughter and grandchildren - & . We are turning the corner and they are at a new counselor as we speak. The Rescue Remedy is amazing stuff. If anyone wants to know how well it worked, just ask. Now about " Feeling Better " - today I had some errands to run, so I jumped into the car and flipped on the radio. Normally I listen to talk or news, but today I went over to FM and hit the oldies station. Within 2 minutes I found myself singing along feeling like I didn't have a care - then wonder of wonders - there was a big smile on my face!!! Maybe we just need to make some change to daily routine to jolt ourselves!! Just my 2 cents, Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara, so good to hear that your daughter and her children are doing better. It is so upsetting to me that your family is faced with so much pain. I am glad the Rescue Remedy is working. I was glad someone recommended it to you. I was going to but hated to tell you that I know about it because I give it to my one dog that gets real upset during thunderstorms! But now that you are feeling better I guess it is a good time to tell people that you can give this to pets too when they get anxious. I know what you mean about singing in the car. It is so uplifting and freeing. I have a radio cd/player in my kitchen too and my daughter and I have some great " concerts " while I'm cooking dinner. You should see her sing away on the island in my kitchen to a duet with Bocelli! I have to laugh, though, because one time when my daughter was younger and hard to see out the window of my SUV, she and I were singing along at a red light. I look over and see these two teenagers just looking at me like I was insane. I just wanted to roll down the window and yell, " It's okay, I'm having to act like this because I'm a Mom. " My first response when my hubby picks up our daughter from nursery school is always, " Great, I can listen to my kind of music on the way home " . I might also recommend when singing to the music in your house, be sure to dance like a maniac too. My husband comes home many a night to me going crazy and I just point at our daughter and say, " She wanted to dance " . He always goes, " Yeah right. " Take care and I hope things are better for your family. > Hi everyone, > > I have been lurking, but reading the last couple of weeks. Guest guest
Hi Karma, Thank you again for the recommendation of Rescue Remedy. It must be better known than I imagined. Four health stores in the Tampa area normally carry it, but were out. I got it here and overnighted it to Tampa. It worked three ways: 1. On 's head 2. He drank about 1/4 glass of water with 4 drops 3. Daughter drank 1/4 glass of water with 8 drops. Everyone was in much better shape. I have told my daughter to keep it in her purse, and to have the store put some on hold for her when they get it in. Thanks again, I have been privileged to hear your words of wisdom for a long time now, from this list and others. I will truly miss you, and send prayers that everything will go well for you. I guess you know that with the prayers from this list, you can't fail. Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara, You sound a lot like me when it comes to singing and dancing like a crazy person with the kids or without. It makes life more fun. I find that when I'm having a sad day if I turn music on and start singing I start feeling better right away. I tell my husband that music calms the savage beast and that includes me when I'm down ( ha ha.) Guest guest
Thanks, Rashelle and everybody else! I'm thinking that the reason I haven't been feeling well is that some of the toxins in my body are trying to get out. I know it can cause flu-like symptoms, etc. I'm doing some extra things (skin brushing, more water, Chi Machine, Colon Clenz) to help, too. Guest guest
Thanks Chestnut! You're a gem. It is really sad about your daughter. It must have been hard for you to have got her on the diet in the first place. I think there comes a point in the program where you start getting the cravings again, and maybe that's where she dropped out. (This soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend did that, too. Soon as he felt better, so ate wheat and sugar, then put his resulting depression down to " a past life experience " ) Lee
Guest guest
Helen, how are you feeling this evening? Is Saedi's ears feeling better tonite? April has taken Cipro HCL Otic drops for outer ear infections, another name is swimmer's ear. Ear infections are quite painful. Did the Dr. say she could have Advil or Tylenol for pain? I am glad you liked the article. April says thanks. Amber is about the same, and I notice that little cough on board, I told her she needs to check her peak flow meter after while to make sure she is not starting to flare. I have to work tonite. What a pain in the butt.LOL Catch you guys later, Marsha
