Guest guest
Well, I just thought that I would let you all know that Sammy is finally in the DBB. It hasn't been too hard -- yet. But, it hasn't been too easy either. He definitely doesn't care for it right now, but that is to be expected. Last night, I put him to bed at his normal time and he fell right to sleep. It seemed like things would go great. Then 3am rolled around and that was a different story. We will survive though. At least I know that he's not crying because he's in pain -- at least I hope that he isn't. I can tell that we are going to have to start all over with this rolling over business. That is a little disappointing -- especially since he just seemed to master it this past weekend. Hopefully he will catch up to where he was quickly. He does sit up better though. I think having both of his legs flat helps. Sam was quite the kicker but now he won't move his legs ever since the DBB went on him. When I try bending them together, he even straightens them like he doesn't want to move them. I do wonder if perhaps his leg muscles in his left leg are sore from being in a cast the first six months of his life. He has never really used that leg, so that might take some adjusting to too. wanted to see his foot when I got home last night, but I was very leary of taking the DBB off until he has gotten used to it. Did you guys leave it on or did you take it off every day right after you got it? I don't want him to get sores on his feet. Also, that blister that that little guy got brings bad things to mind. One thing that I do know is that we are going to have to invest in some of those shoe lace tie keepers. Our little guy has already figured out how to untie his shoes. He was sitting in my lap this morning playing with the loops and voila! Shoes untied! At least some part of this thing is a toy! Do those of you with older kids in the DBB have a problem with them getting out of it a night? That has been a curiosity of mine for a while. Of course, I don't know how well two year olds are at unbuckling shoes but when there's a will, there's a way. Well, I better go for now. I'm sure today promises to be a cranky day when Sam wakes from his nap, so I better use my time without a crying baby wisely. Take Care!
