Guest guest
HI Kathy: I'm on Humira once a week. I was upped because the normal dose wasn't doing it for me. It's been about 8 weeks since I've gone to once a week and can't say I see any difference. I do the methotrexate pills (8/week), Bextra 20mg, Prednisone 5mg. I find that the injection site for Humira isn't too bad, so I just switch hit every week. I'd be curious to see if you see a marked improvement by upping your dosage. Keep us posted. gloria
Guest guest
Hey Gang - I was one of those patients affected by the methotrexate fall-out. I currently take .5 cc's of Methotrexate every week and take Humira every other week, plus Plaquenil twice a day, Bextra (25mg) twice a day, Prednisone 2mg once a day and Folic Acid (2 mg) once a day. Now my doctor is calling the pharmacist to up my Humira once a week to replace the loss of the Methotrexate. Only if the insurance will accept it; otherwise we will have to appeal their refusal. What can I expect with the increase of Humira once a week, with the exception of running out of injection sites? ;-) Thanks, K
