Guest guest
Sharon, I took it for a while. It did not work and my doctor switched me to something else. I am sorry but I can't remember what. No side effects as I remember. No even my tinnitus getting worse. Irene > anyone here try it? Did it work? Guest guest
Sharon, Neither one, Relefen or Ultram, helped me. All the Ultram really did was upset my stomach. M : )

Guest guest
Sharon: I use it everyday. It really helps me. The pain doesn't disappear, but it makes me feel more well when I'm on it. I try to keep the amount down so I just take it in the afternoon. I have to take more than one to feel any effect, but at first, one was effective. I don't have any unpleasant side effects. It just makes me feel better. I usually have a little more energy then usual, but some people say the opposite thing happens to them. I guess you just have to try and see if it helps you. Guest guest
Sharon, I don't know if you read my earlier post, but my doctor had me on Ultram a long time ago. At first it started to work, then I had to take more for it to work and then if I didn't take it in the morning I started to feel dizzy and sick. I tried an experiment and found out that it was the Ultram that was making me feel dizzy and sick. Then they had an ad on TV looking for people who were taking that drug for a class action lawsuit. I called and they didn't accept me cause I had taken myself off the drug and they were looking for people who were now in rehab due to the drug. From what they told me, a lot of people ended up in rehab due to that drug. I don't mean to scare you, but the facts are facts and I for one do not want to be dependant on any drug so I told my doctor and the pharmacist to mark it down...NO ULTRAM FOR ME EVER. If it was just affecting me this way I would tell you to be careful, but since alot of people ended up in rehab, I am just passing on the facts and you make the decision. Best of Luck to you. Guest guest
Irene, I tried Ultram for awhile but did'nt get any relief, he then put me on something i could'nt even spell much less pronounce, but i looked it up in the drug directory and it was another name for darvon, but it's not helping either, and i can't take Lortab we went that route and i ended up in the er--it with the combination of my other meds made me so loopy my family did'nt even know if it was safe to leave me alone, it would (Lortab)make my speech slurred and made my short-term memory a real problem. I'm beginning to wonder what else is left to try, some of these people on our site have been diagnosed for years with fms, and they have tried different meds, that my dr., has never mentioned he does'nt like to put you on a lot of pain medications, all i want is some relief not to get addicted to something but just to feel like a normal person for awhile. I was'nt diagnosed with it until June of 99, although looking back i realize i have had it for awhile but didn't realize that my symptons added up to something. I had never heard of fms before and now i run into people all the time who have it or a member of their family has it. All we can do is pray that we can go into a remission state for awhile just to have a break from the pain, and depression and the fatique. " Even when you feel you have nothing left, you still have prayer--and that's enough " copied
Guest guest
Sharon: I just sent a post to Debbie (?) about Ultram. I find that it works good for me but I will tell you that I think it is physically addictive. I went through my whole opinion and feeling re: this problem in my last post. I think if it helps, take it. We all take drugs everyday anyway to make our lives less painful. I don't think it would be hard to get off of. Just experience some discomfort when you did.
