Guest guest
Hello everyone. I haven't posted in a while as I've been working on getting my Armour up and my adrenals supported. I'm currently at 2 grains of Armour and 20 mg/HC. I am doing better, but still have a long ways to go. I am though, ready to start witht he DMPS. I have 25 mg prescribed and plan on doing 7 days on and 7 days off, per my doc. So, my question is....When can I take the DMPS. Will it interfere with my Hydrocortisone?? I take Armour sublingual, so it shouldn't interfere with that. I also take an Iron supplement with vitamin C around 5-6pm to get my ferritin up. In addition I take a whole handful of supplements 3x/day. I take vit c, milk thistle, vit e, b-complex, cod liver oil, colon cleanser, biotin, etc.... I can't remember all of them right now. Anyway, those of you who have a busy vitamin schedule, when do you fit in your DMPS. Can I take it close to the same time I take vitamins, because I just don't know how else I will fit it in. Thanks,
Guest guest
, Good to hear that you are feeling better. I take DMPS with just about anything. I take DMPS, cortef, and a tylenol 3 as soon as I wake up, then the rest of my meds (including thyroid meds) a bit later, then breakfast, then supplements. I take it with or without meals, supplements, drugs, whatever. Doesn't seem to make any difference. Most people say to take cortef with food to prevent stomach irritation. I have never had a problem taking it on an empty stomach, but I may be some sort of an exception. I have read to take iron about 6 h away from thyroid meds. > > Hello everyone. Guest guest
Thanks , I recently talked to my doc and she said basically what you have just said, that it doesn't really matter when or what I take the DMPS with, it shouldn't effect how it works. thanks again... > > > > , > > Good to hear that you are feeling better. > > I take DMPS with just about anything. I know the tylenol is not good, but I simply can't tough out pain anymore. The good news is that chelation seems to be taking the pain down a bit. Do you think my bad reaction to vicodin was from the acetominophen rather than the narcotic? Do they make a mixture of ibuprofen + narcotic? Do you think my bad reaction to vicodin > was from the acetominophen rather than the narcotic? I don't know. I do know that my pain specialist didn't want me to have too much tylenol, but wasn't concerned about how much narcotics I took. If the pain goes on for the long term they usually prescribe time release narcotics without the tylenol. I think that narcotics aren't as hard on the liver as tylenol is. > Do they make a > mixture of ibuprofen + narcotic? > I don't know again, but NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) aren't good to take for the long term because of the possibility of gastrointestinal bleeding.
