Guest guest
I found out that it not only helped to cause my weight gain, >> Hi. I went from a size7/8 to a size 18/20. It was also because of the anti-depressants, and lack of proper diet and excercise. I have been on a lot of different anti-depressants, there is only one that has not made me gain weight, but it did effect my sex drive. Although, with all the weight I've gained it's not as if it's a problem for my husband that I no longer have a big sex drive...lol just kidding about that, but I take 60 mg of Prozac a day and it actually has caused me not to be hungry therefore I have not gained any weight on it as I did with the rest of them. Good Luck!! Shay, Max, Samson, and all of the rescue crew... Guest guest
, I have fibromyalgia and started to gain weight also. I later found out that the reason I was gaining weight was due to numerous reasons. First, you are right about being so tired and in pain that we don't feel like exercising, however my weight gain was also due to an underactive thyroid (which can go hand in hand with Fibro) and it was also due to the anti-depressant I was on. You can have your thyroid checked at the doctors office and see if that is part of the problem and if you are on any anti-depressants, you might want to ask your doctor if it could be causing your weight gain. I found out that it not only helped to cause my weight gain, but it also severely affected my sex drive, so I am no longer taking any anti-depressants - (my choice). If you are on anti-depressants however, I strongly urge you to stay on them until you speak with your doctor. Do not stop taking them cold turkey as there could be side effects. I hope that this has helped, but there could be other reasons for the weight gain also. You need to discuss this with your doctor. Debbie G.
