Guest guest
Hi Barbara, You can tell Wona that Miss has been a large handful. She had to have emergency surgery on New Year's Eve due to her swallowing a very big piece of heavy duty plastic. She got spaded at the same time since her Vet was working in that area. We have no clue where or when she ate the plastic but she was a pretty sick little darling. She is 6 months old now, all legs and as big as already. We love her dearly and she still thinks she can sit on Mark's lap! We had to drop out of "doggie school" because I don't have anyone to watch Mark on Thursday nights but maybe sometime we'll get to go back. I have so much fun just watching her, she's all puppy, loves everyone, and plays her little heart out. Willie and finally like her and she follows me everywhere and sits at my feet wherever I am at. Her favorite toy now is Mark's bare feet while he's hanging in the Hoyer Lift! Take Care, Judy
Guest guest
Judy: I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying as much as we enjoy Wona. You must have been very scared when she got plastic stuck. That is always a fear with both pets and children. And you had enough on your plate already! Wona hasn't actually swallowed anything bad (I hope), but she loves to pick up little objects in her mouth and gallop away. She runs in the opposite direction when I see her, but after a while she acts as if she feels guilty and spits it out for me. I was very worried about Christmas since I have a hugh collection of Nativity scenes which I put all over the house, and we have a tall Christmas tree. She was pretty good, however, and only tried to steal a few ornaments that fell on the floor. She seemed to know that she was not to touch the decorations. We keep a big box of toys for her that she rummages through and picks out a different toy each time. All our other Standard poodles settled on one or two toys and were indifferent to any others. Wona likes variety and chooses a different favorite each day. She got several new ones for Christmas and showed proper delight by making them her favorites for quite awhile. I think of you and your courage taking care of Mark often. You are an inspiration to us all. Love, Barbara
