Guest guest
I noticed that many of you are on low dose ALA, and DMSA, Is that because of tolerance? Or is low dose as effective as higher doses. I noticed in Andy's book he had recommended 100mg dmsa and also ala at 100-200mg.is that dose to high to tolerate , or are higher doses more effective once you can tolerate them? ________________________________________________________________________ Try Juno Platinum for Free! Guest guest
> > I noticed that many of you are on low dose ALA, and DMSA, Is that because of tolerance? TK--- For a lot of us yes, many adults can not tollerate the higher dosages recommended especially to start. Starting with the higher dosages is also not safe, for once you find out they are too high they can cause very bad reactions that sometimes take a long time to subside. So it is much safer to start with low dosages 12.5mg or less for several rounds to see how you react and then gradually increase dosage to tollerance. Many also find that side effects do not start with the first round or two, another reason to do a few rounds at a time before increasing. This is much safer and doesn't take really anymore time in the scheme of chelating as for most of us this is a long process. Trying to rush it and taking too much too fast is the most common way people hurt themselves with the protocol. Or is low dose as effective as higher doses. TK--- Excretion is related to dosage but only increases by a % with increased dosage. I noticed in Andy's book he had recommended 100mg dmsa and also ala at 100-200mg.is that dose to high to tolerate TK--- For most that is very high and would cause bad or intollerable side effects, for some it is fine - starting low and working up is the safest way to proceed to avoid hurting yourself and making this worse. , or are higher doses more effective once you can tolerate them? TK--- Yes, they excrete more Hg. > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ ___ > Try Juno Platinum for Free! Guest guest
, we go through lots of controvery here with regards to dosage. Some people can only tolerate very low dosages due to side effects. I personally started with Andy's recommendations, which was 1/2 mg. per pound. Since I weigh about 200, I started with 100 mgs. DMSA and 100 mgs. ALA. This was tolerable for me, despite some emotional symptoms. I stayed there for four months and then increased to 200 mgs. ALA and 200 mgs. DMSA where I have remained. This works okay for me but other people CANNOT tolerate doses this high. Re: ALA /DMSA dosage > I noticed that many of you are on low dose ALA, and DMSA, Is that because of tolerance? Guest guest
, May I ask what the degree of your mercury poisoning was? I have stared the DMSA at 100 mg and was hoping to add the ALA 100 mg in a couple months, but am somewhat hesitant after reading recent posts to start at 12.5 mg. My poisoning was relatively minimal - mostly neurologic. I'm wondering if the amount of DMSA/ALA tolerated has more to do with degree of poisoning and amount stored in brain/organs. Thanks, Moneca > > , > > we go through lots of controvery here with regards to dosage. Some people > can only tolerate very low dosages due to side effects. Guest guest
'I was pretty toxic since I had a horrific reaction to a DMPS injection challenge test in 1999 before I knew not to get this done. It almost drove me to suicide and I didn't know what was happening to me. I didn't have any previous psychiatric condition, and I definitely didn't want to die that day!!' Hi I'm New here, Why should you not have had a DMPS challenge test? I have just had one to no ill effect. I have removed all mercury and all metal and root canals as well as cleaned cavitations and am about to embark on oral chelation and IV chelation to help clear a lower jaw infection - well hopefully. Guest guest
, Thanks for your reply. I think I'll start at the 12.5 of ALA and move up from there. I've had no problems with the 100 DMSA other than a mild headache that only lasted a couple of hours. Better to play it safe.
