Guest guest
Hi, I'm in the third day of a round of 25mg DMSA and don't seem to be having any side effects. I have really bad depression but I had that before I started the last two rounds and have actually had a little relief since chelating. I'd like to add 25mg ALA and I'm wonding if it would be okay to do that now. So, my round would look like this: Days 1-3 25mg DMSA Days 4-6 25mg DMSA and 25mg ALA Days 7-9 25 mg DMSA Or I could take a break after day 6. Any thoughts? Thanks! Andy has just commented that is some cases for certain individuals continous chelation with low dosages is ok for all the chelators. This is for those individuals that do much better while chelating, do not have intollerable side effects while on round and I would assume copper levels for these individuals is not an issue. I don't think most of us can do this because of lack of sleep and side efects but some obviously [may] be able to. He stated he came to this conclusion after more data and input from people chelating. If there are any out there doing this with DMSA, ALA or both I am going to start a poll if there is an interest. There are a number of people who already do this with DMPS which has always been ok. I know myself I do much better while on DMPS alone but when I add the ALA I do get side effects and can not continue beyond about 5-6 days before I need a break. Andy did not address dosages. I assume it would vary but imo lower dosages would be safer.
