Guest guest
To all: I exercise each morning with a personal trainer( Austin on lifetime) I adjust the exercises to what I can do.....most can be done in my wheel chair. I wear jobe stockings when I can find them .... The combination of socks and exercise seems to reduce the swelling in my feet. I can identify with the term "monster feet" compared to what I read, I dont take many meds ...ditropan for frequent urination, klonopin for sleep, an antiobiotic for the almost constant uti and effexor for mood. I sometimes wonder about all that I read....Am i taking the right meds ?...i am dizzy most of time, in a wheelchair with freezing legs, knocking things over faster than I can pick them up but still get on an airplane and go to the um vs. msu game ...ah life is not so bad....I celebrate 11 yrs of sobriety this friday and go to at least three meetings a week. I don't drive,so i have to accept many rides, and typing is two fingers at a time. The combination of the exercise and spiritual opportunities for interaction help a great deal. I have a good Neuro at Emory ( knows what to look for) HMO doesn't pay(Im doing third appeal now) dxed and referred by Dr Gillman at mich>>>go Blue....Ohio support group aside.....talk about an oximoron) 9 company neuros were asked to respond to my symtoms ---- 0 responses oh well Dr Gilman talked of how rare it was.... The way im looking at it is that I am living my retirement now......to bad for me that i will not run another marathon, ( two is more than most) and i will not hit one 225(never did anyway) down the fairway ( lets play computer golf ) At least today I draw nothing but a sober breath and I am grateful to be alive.
