If you're dealing with a yeast overgrowth, then you do need to limit

your fruits, including fruit juices, especially if your symptoms are

severe. There are other SCD-legal foods that also should be limited

if you're dealing with a yeast overgrowth. It all depends on your

symptoms, and how your digestion is behaving.

I dealt with a major yeast overgrowth when I started SCD, and because

my symptoms were causing great discomfort, I was very careful with

the foods that I knew would feed the yeast. Some foods I could have

in small amounts every other day or so, others were off-limits for a

year and some forever more.

Everyone's digestion is different, as well as the state of their gut

ecology. So we have to choose SCD-legal foods that best suit our

situation until healing occurs.

SCD is close to a yeast elimination diet, having removed starches.

So many of us can take care of a yeast overgrowth with time on SCD.

Others need to eliminate more legals in order to achieve the same

healing.

I don't take any supplements (or meds.) on an empty stomach. I take

them at the end of a meal. Some I swallow in a capsule, and others

are mixed in water or diluted juice, or on food. It's OK to do this,

so go ahead and do what's best for your body.
