Guest guest
Hi , I am in the same boat. I have talked to the pastors and explained to them and they were very understanding, but in the end I just don't take communion. I figure the point to for rememberance of Christ's sacrifice so I spend the time reflecting. Best of luck to you. -- CD 7 yearsSCD since 6 Aug '06email: andrew.bodley@... Bread/wafer and wine/juice are the only things I have ever seen at ANY kind of church. I want to participate, but can't. Guest guest
For those of you who would be willing to bring your own sacraments and then have your pastor serve you, most church supply stores (Cokesbury definitely sells these) have lovely travel communion sets for pastors that you could buy for yourself. You could make your own legal bread or muffin, then take a little Welch's or wine with you and have your pastor serve you. I know the point of communion is remembering and not the rigidity of following a specific act itself, but for those who would like to make the extra effort, there is an idea. For Catholics, is it enough for the priest to bless the sacraments beforehand? I don't know. CD diagnosed 1/07 SCD 6 weeks
