I am replying on-list since this may be an issue that others are also

dealing with. It's not something to apologize for, your body is not

working normally just now.

I recently had to help my mother locate adult " diapers " for my

father, who was suffering bowel incontinence (among a lot of other

difficult things) in the last month of his life. I think the brand

my father liked the best was Depends; we found them in Walmart, but I

would think that any large pharmacy or grocery store will have them.

I'll check with my mother to confirm the brand name and let you

know. It may be tomorrow, though, before I can email you.

have to ask.  I apologize as it is off topic but I dont know where

else to turn, and a group of people with IBD and other digestive

issues will hopefully be able to relate to my awful predicament.

trying so hard to adhere to the SCD.  I have a colonoscopy scheduled

but it is weeks away.  In the meantime I found I have increasing

trouble with incontenance.  Today I had an accident at work.

Fortunately no one knew about it, I was able to make it to the

bathroom to " clean up " without anyone realizing what happened.  But,

I know it could very  easily happen again.  I am considering that I

may need to purchase some adult diapers.  I wish this was no the

case.  I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them, I

dont know what to buy or anything about them.

out there can help me.

I had to buy them for my Mother also, they are in all Walmarts, Walgreens, drugstores etc. even the smaller dollar stores. Please don't feel like you are alone in this issue. I have had my fair

share of accidents, some so dramatic that there was no way of being

discreet. This has not happened at work (fortunately) but at home or in

the car. Once during a Christmas party I was stuck in the bathroom for

over an hour. Yep, people noticed. I can only imagine the stress of

what happened that day for you.

I am currently student teaching, I can't go to the bathroom when I want

to or need to. I keep considering buying Depend products since there

always seems to be a line at the faculty bathroom and I have barely

made it in time twice now. I also keep a change of clothes discreetly

in my desk.

Some days I feel like I live in one of those bladder commecials: " got

to go, got to go, got to go right now! " Please know you are not alone

and that your question is a great question actually.

Go to a Walmart or a Thrifty or a Walgreens, the products are all there

and there is a quite a variety. From the smallish pads for my current

issue to the disposable underwear which now is much sleeker and easier

to wear.

Hang in there, you are doing great even though it may not feel that

way.
