Guest guest
Wow Sharon - that's terrific news! Even though you feel pretty good, give yourself a couple of days to rest. Your joints may feel ok now, but if you do too much it could be that final straw (or piece of hay) that breaks the camel's back. Beth > > I got myself in a spot yesterday. I had a big truck full of horse bedding being delivered this morning, and the hay delivery came early. They dropped the hay in the driveway because the pasture was muddy. I came out and discovered the hay was blocking the driveway where the shavings truck was going to be Wed. morning. So I moved and restacked 18 90-lb bales of hay by myself. Talk about feeling like I'd been rode hard and put up wet!! > > I was really surprised this morning to discover that other than sore muscles, my joints were in amazingly good shape. Two months ago I couldn't have MOVED one bale of hay. MTX has been like a miracle for me. > > Sharon

But I didn't have much choice in this particular case. I didn't want them to dump 40 cubic yards of wood shavings in the driveway, too! Actually I don't seem to have suffered any aftereffects. I cleaned stalls yesterday. My hands are a little bit stiff today, but they always are in the mornings. The more I use them, the better they feel. I am trying to build my stamina back up. After four months of doing basically nothing, I had NO stamina. I would be huffing and puffing after even the slightest aerobic activity. Guest guest
Sharon, I know how you feel - when I am having good days I tend to try and do EVERYTHING. It feels good to get it done and I am always a bit wary on how long the remission will last. Hope it lasts a long time for you! Oh, I know! But I didn't have much choice in this particular case. Guest guest
Sharon, It's so wonderful to hear that you're doing so well and are able to pick up with your former activities. I know that when I have a bad stretch and can't do the things I want that it's easy to think it will always be that way. It's really great (and important) to hear the good stories to remind me that there are ups as well as downs when challenged by this disease! Keep up the great work, and let us know of your progress - it's both inspirational and motivational. Beth > > > > Wow Sharon - that's terrific news!
