Guest guest
Have you tried any natural remedies? I google them when I have a cold. Sometimes they work and other times they don't, but it can't hurt to try. See the link below. I have actually used remedies similar to what he uses; however, I add equal parts thyme steeped water cooled to room temp and honey. It is a great cough suppressant for my daughter. She loves the taste and it doesn't have any of the harsh chems that OTC cough medicine has and it works just as good. For deep congestion, I use the steam bath to break up congestion, but I add a couple drops of eucalyptus and put the stopper in. If it is a barking cough, stick your head in the freezer for a few minutes. This worked wonders for my daughter when she was a baby. Barking coughs are caused by inflammation in the lungs and breathing in the very cold air help to reduce the inflammation. This would allow her to sleep at night. If you live in a cold climate, you can go outside for a few minutes. Down here, we only have a few days during winter that are cold enough to try that. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/486039/allnatural_chest_congestion_remedies.html?page=2 & cat=68 or http://tinyurl.com/6pagvp Misty Kimble Louisiana CD - no meds SCD - 8 months Subject: Legal Cold Medicine? To: BTVC-SCD Date: Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 12:48 AM Is there such a thing as a cold medicine that is legal? I would typically take contac or sudaphed or something like that, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with these, or which one is the best to take?I recently came down with a cold, and need something as a decongestant to be able to sleep through the night!Any suggestions would be great!thanks!naUCSCD-6 months

I've been using Nature's Answer Sambucus - which is black elderberry concentrate hoiistically balanced so that it is in the same proportion as in the plant. I think it is terrific.
