Guest guest
My original gynecologist submitted charges to my insurance company for a hysterosonogram (not sure if I'm spelling this correctly) amounting to $1215.00. This consisted of two 'Diagnositic XRAY' charges of $300.00 each, a 'Surgery' charge of $500 and a 'Consultation' charge of $115. (The consultation charge is particularly ironic since she made a point of telling me that she 'didn't have time in her schedule' for a consultation and I'd have to make a separate appointment for the following week.) Putting aside the consultation charge is it possible that the hysterosonogram could cost this much? I had no surgery during the procedure; I was told this was a code used for the procedure itself. On the other hand, the total for my MRI (with and without contrast) was $197.00. This was performed prior to my UAE consultation. Thoughts? Thanks.
