Guest guest
Laurie, Flu shots are a farse. They use influenza strains from the previous year and they basically " guess " which one will be the one to infect everyone. There are so many types that this is basically a gamble. Not to mention the fact that strains mutate/metamorph etc. So, usually what we get shot with isn't even the same strains causing the havoc. Plus all the other issues with vaccinations etc. Jodi SCD 12 months Crohn's/Colitis > > Hello all, > > Just looking for opinions out there, as mine has always been to say NO! Guest guest
Hi Laurie,We don't get them. We rely on other means to keep ourselves healthy. We obviously eat a healthy diet, we wash our hands frequently and carry around that hand sanitizer stuff, take Freeda vitamins and so far (knock on wood) neither one of us has gotten the flu. My company also gives free flu shots. Last year my boss and two co-workers got one and 2 out of the 3 of them got sick. I've never had a flu shot in my life and I was fine....Take care,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999SCD 2002 Flu Season Hello all, Just looking for opinions out there, as mine has always been to say NO! Guest guest
No way, I have not gotten a flu shot, I would not recommend it. It is easier to treat the flu than to have problems from a shot that has mercury as a shooter or god knows what else. Besides they always say it wont stop this year flu.I have celiac sprue. If I feel like a cold is coming on I take homeopathic to prevent, take vita c, take care of myself, wash hands. no no no way I will never get a flu shot. I think th emedical profession is pushing it as they dont know what else to do to bring you in so they have to get you from other ways. Guest guest
I have never had any luck with these shots for myself or my family. I think they just miss the strains. I guess if I ever had the flu, I would/might feel differently. When my co-workers have gotten ill in the past, I seem to get minor symptoms, for a shorter peripd or time. I like to imagine that my over active immune system helps out then.LOL
