Guest guest
I'm so glad I could help and that his trip went so well. AWESOME Misty Kimble CD - no meds SCD - 9 months (yesterday!!!!) Subject: 's trip to CanadaTo: BTVC-SCD Date: Monday, October 6, 2008, 12:03 PM Hello all, Well, he made it and he made it back :-) AND all of his food made it. Thanks so much Misty. I did what you said. It was 14 hours from the time he left the house until the time he got to the hotel room with his bags and all of his food was still cold/frozen. The hotel had the fridge in his room just like they said they would. And Marilyn, he tried the Alberta beef and said it was awesome and thanks for the suggestion. Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. I was so nervous about the whole thing but it couldn't have gone any smoother thanks to all of you. Take care, Kim H. husband, , CD 1999 SCD 2002

I know you're glad to have him back where he can have your good safe cooking again, but isn't it great that he could go on this trip and do so well? I'm glad he liked the Alberta beef -- I sure found it tasty! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

I was so scared....I had all these horrible images of them confiscating his food, him having to eat out every meal for a week and coming home in a flare, etc, etc..... I'm a worrier by nature...can't help it. Kim H. Recent Activity 13 New MembersVisit Your Group Yahoo! Health Early Detection Know the symptoms of breast cancer. Meditation and Lovingkindness A Yahoo! I know when I went into Canada with my yogurt and my pepperoni sticks, the Canadian customs folks were wonderfully civilized about things. They asked me why I was bringing it, and I said it was travel food. They asked if I intended to leave any of it in Canada, and I said , " Heck, no! I worked too hard to make it to leave it behind! Although I've heard great things about Alberta beef, so I'm planning to try that for fresh food! " and the customs official chuckled and said, " Enjoy your visit! " Same thing when we went to Toronto in 2007 -- I was worried about brining Shadow and Sunny into and out of Canada. I had every documentation known to humankind from their AKC certificates to a letter from their vet certifying that they had been vaccinated for rabies and were healthy. They accepted our word. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

With his food, I typed up labels on the computer for each food item stating what it was and listing every ingredient exactly and precisely and in order of proportion in the recipe. LOL Kim H.
