Guest guest
Hi Eileen,What a GREAT news, i am so happy for you and for me too to learn that the inflammation disappeared with the help of the diet. I am thinking of you and the D problem you have, my only symptom was always D so i know how frustrating it is to have it. Unfortunately i have no advice or suggestion to give you, i hope someone else will. It is strange you still have it as there is no inflammation but our bowels have mind of their owns sometimes I hope you will soon get the solid BMs, to me they are also very important because unwillingly they affect me on the whole day basis, if it is more mushy in the morning i will be all day blue (well, exaggerating there but it will keep me in strange mood at least for few hours) and wondering what i ate wrong and why it happened. So keep the strength and spirit up, this too shall resolve.JanjaUC 07/07SCD 08/07no meds, 17 weeks pregnant
Guest guest
I still swear by very ripe bananas-organic with many small black spots that Elaine talks about. Start with small amounts, if you don't already eat these. They can bring on C if they are really ripe and they have the natural sugars fully developed. These even work for me when I have watery D. My Doctors always ask how I control D and then pretend to listen :<)

And so you should be! This is great! The preparation for those tests is pretty darned traumatic. In a weird kind of way, I'm grateful that they had me on IV nutrition for two days after the surgery, because it gave my insulted gut a chance to get over having a snit over the prep before I started sipping water or broth again, let alone eating anything it might feel it had shove right along! What are you doing at this point to handle the situation? Guest guest
thanks - I have wished for an IV at times just to give the gut a healing chance - this too shall pass :-) eileen > >well last week was the upper endoscopy plus > >colonoscopy - not even 9 months on SCD- no > >inflammation seen- except the bit everyone has > >from the prep - I'm thrilled !!!!!!!! > > And so you should be!
