My acupuncturist has given me a herbal remedy with a bunch

of chinese medicinal herbs... Is there any way I can find

out which of these are or are not SCD legal? I've looked on

the legal/illegal list and can't find anything.

Welcome to the list.

What form are you getting your Chinese herbs? As a powder

to make tea? Pills? Raw herbs that you prepare? I am

training to be an acupuncturist and herbalist, and started

SCD in February. I had been taking powdered herbs, but

learned that illegal fillers are used in the powders (like

rice or potato starch). Nobody could assure me that the

formulated pills did not have illegals. So, unfortunately,

I have been avoiding them. If there are Chinese herbs in

your remedy you would like information on, I can help you

out if the translated name (the English or common name) is

on Elaine's list.
