Hi Lesley,I don't have any experience with that brand. We use Freeda vitamins. You can get them from Lucy's Kitchen Shop but the one he found looks fine to me. I found this about stearic acid on Elaine's websiteVegetable stearate

Legal

I believe that stearate

is always a fat (stearic acid) so vegetable stearate would be a

fat from some vegetable like coconut,

etc. -- ElaineHope this helps.Take care,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999SCD 2002

My son is looking for a legal high dose B12 supplement. (He prefers

this way of getting his B12, rather than getting shots). He has been

taking a GNC B12 product (1000mcg) but the other ingredients in it are

illegal. Now he's found this one in Whole Foods:

Does anyone know this company?

Also, I can't find stearic acid on the legal/illegal list - can anyone

tell us if it's legal? The other listed ingredients all seem to be

fine.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks Kim. does use the SCD multi-vitamin and the SCD B

Complex from Freeda Vitamins. However, they don't make a high dose

B12 supplement that is SCD friendly. I emailed them but had no reply.

Since the Country Life B12 looks legal I think he will probably give

that a try.

Thanks again!

We use the Country Life Calcium-Magnesium with Vitatmin D Complex, and

have had no problems with it. It was recommended to us at Whole Foods.

It contains stearic acid & cellulose.

I have used and recomended the Country life products that are labeled

suger, gluten, and starch free for many people who have GI issues,

and /or follow the SCD in the past. I have seen no ill effects from

these products, however my symptoms were well controled prior to my own

use of them. I love the Co-enzyme B complex and take 2 every AM 1 hour

before I put anything on my tummy. These are well absorbed, and I feel

the need to get the full complex of B vits, plus Biotin. If I miss a

day or two, I start with one, they wire me out otherwise. If you call

the company, they may even be willing to send you a letter stating they

contain no illegals. I will attempt to contact them, when I have time

or I see the sales rep., to ask for it in writing, they may be more

responcive to someone in the industry. They may be willing to state

exactly what scharides they actually contain. I use many of their

products, they are my first choice, for supplements because they are

often startch free and so forth.
