Guest guest
Does anyone have an idea for a beer substitute in cooking. Read two alluring recipes today with beer in them - anyone with experience in substituting? One was a chili recipe - now I know chili can easily be made without beer, but I figured it would add depth. The other one was for a batter recipe for fried fish. TIA, Mara
Guest guest
Hi Mara,I watched a show on Food Network not too long ago, I believe it was Throw Down with Bobby Flay but it could have been something else...I watch that channel all the time, anyway, they used club soda in their fish batter instead of beer. I've been meaning to try it. If you do, will you let us know how it turns out?I don't know about the chili.Take care,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999SCD 2002 Does anyone have an idea for a beer substitute in cooking.
