Guest guest
Hi there, Have been on SCD for 10 days now... I just had to see my GI doc today...I am losing way too much weight and now have bad pains and nausea in my stomach -- feels like the food just won't digest right D is continuing and I am very weak....not really able to work Now I am back on prednisone and will have to start an oral immunosupressant med (can't recall the name and don't have the energy to go look at the bottle) I just don't know if I can do this diet right now -- does anyone know what percentage of people who start this diet are unable to continue for various reasons?? I feel like a loser (don't want to give up) but I need to function in my job; can't stay home for weeks experimenting with foods, etc. Thanks for any help
Guest guest
Oh I feel for you - I was so scared this time last year with weight loss no energy and nausea - still here/there - but no D also wasn't working outside the home -in with 4 kids - i don't know what to tell you - but try to stay on even if you eat real limited for a while - I'm quite limited still at 9 months - but it does heal - it will help - how long did you do intro for - sure no illegals are sneaking in?? I found a few way back in the first few weeks that I thought were fine - keep a log - be careful - hang in :-) eileen > > Hi there, > > Have been on SCD for 10 days now... > I just had to see my GI doc today...I am losing way too much weight and now have bad pains > and nausea in my stomach -- feels like the food just won't digest right > D is continuing and I am very weak....not really able to work > Now I am back on prednisone and will have to start an oral immunosupressant med (can't > recall the name and don't have the energy to go look at the bottle) > > I just don't know if I can do this diet right now -- does anyone know what percentage of > people who start this diet are unable to continue for various reasons?? > > I feel like a loser (don't want to give up) but I need to function in my job; can't stay home for > weeks experimenting with foods, etc. > > Thanks for any help >
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I can empathise with what you are going through. I found the going pretty tough for about 3 months until I had some form of die-off and once I got over that things improved a lot. Just remember to keep the diet simple and try and find your safe foods and also remember that there is no limit on quantities of foods you can handle so, although it is sometimes quite boring, you can stop the weight loss. I would describe my journey early on as 2 steps back to take one step forward but every step back was actually part of my run up and then I was able to take a couple of giant leaps! Good luck with everything.
