Guest guest
Sharon, The cause of the flare is all of the above! Flares vary from person to person and from flare to flare. My last flare lasted 8 months. Hugs, Jacy ~Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. I don't know if it is the miserable weather we have been having, the stress of a recent plane trip, the phase of the moon or the depth of the Thames! My hands are sore and swollen, my shoulders stiff and sore and my ankles and feet painful. It is nowhere near as bad as before I started the MTX, but is worse than it has been in three months. About how long does a flare ususally last for most of you? Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, So sorry to hear that you are flaring - it most be so frustrating for you after doing so well. The length of a flare varies from person to person - like so many things with this disease. Have you called your doctor? You may need to increase your MTX or add something else for a period of time to get through this. If you respond aggressively you may get through it quickly. You also need to take time to rest. Try not to stress any joints that are hurting. It's hard to slow down but important to do so. I hope you're feeling better soon.
