Of course you can. How about ice tea. Or anything else that's

mild that you regularly drink?

You might also ask him about using the pills instead of miralax.

Visicol or Osmoprep. I found them very easy on my system - but

I haven't tried the miralax treatment for comparison. I just hate

swallowing disgusting tasting prep.

12 months or so is pretty normal. I usually wait a bit longer - more

like

14-16 months.

They put you under these days - you won't remember anything -

but you'll have gas when you wake up because they pump you with

air. That might leave you feeling tender if you have inflammation in

your lower bowel.

I did the Miralax prep last week with iced tea and sweet-n-low. I was nauseous from the first glass. Whatever you choose, I suggest you mix 1/2 of the powder into the liquid you choose and then the other half if you can handle it. This way you could change from iced tea to soda if necessary. I discovered the iced tea kept me awake and I was so sick all I wanted to do was sleep. If I had to do it over again today, I'd make lemonade and take the pills. It ended up taking me 10 hours to drink the Miralax and my upper tummy hurt for 3 days after the colonoscopy. My body really didn't want this prep in it! I kept whining and my family called me a "sniveler!" (Can you believe it!) I suggest pills too if you have time to change to them!

Thanks Mara,

I get very sick from prep's. I am kind grossed out at having to do

the small bowel series- that drink makes me so sick as well. I am

just so sensitive..

Anyway, for the pills do I need a prescription?

Which one of the pills did you like better? I think they mentioned

Osmoprep in their office.

I never knew I had to be monitored like this.

I mean I knew I was stretching it- but I had no idea once a year is ideal.

I just love you Jodi - and I wish I were there in the office- I'm a

big mouth I tell EVERYBODY! they need to know!!! For my scopes last

month I diluted welch's white grape - BUT I've read on here since

then not to trust them I think - don't go illegal with the drink

there's enough your body will be going thru - it is not bad - for me

it was the after gas that most don't get and i pray you won't

just live in the bathroom and have your intro diet ready for after -

expect to be off for a couple of weeks and maybe you won't be at

all :-) or not for that long (i did have a virus at the same time)

but I hope and pray all goes well - you deserve some good news!!!!!

hang in
