An Early Thanksgiving for Marilyn and A Group of Very Special People

I just wanted to post this morning, to give an early Thanksgiving

for/to Marilyn for her devotion to the group. Thank you Marilyn, I

have learned a great deal from you, and pass what I learn along daily

to many IBD/IBS customers who are grateful too.

I remember 2002, after I was DX'd my first Thanksgiving when I

roasted a sweet pie pumpkin. I don't really remember if Marilyn was

posting on the LI list serve at the time.I still suffered from

Crohn's brain fog when I started SCD. Prior to my DX and SCD, I spent

2 years, praying to die or figure out how to get better and regain my

life. My then 3 year old grand child Deanna,would not touch the

pumpkin pie and insisted on eating Gammy's pumpkin. I knew than I

could regain my health/life. The pain and fog were subsiding, and I

felt hope that one day I would dance at her wedding. What a wonderful

Thanksgiving! A priceless gift was bestowed on me that Thanksgiving.

Anyway, once again, Thank You Marilyn, and group for always being

available here to people who are experiencing some of the most

hopeless time periods of their lives, you are truly (SCD legal)

lifesavers.

Crohn's for life, symptoms included terrible joint and soft tissue

pain, just met first cousin who suffers from Reactive Arthritis-

explains sooo much. Great control on SCD (when I'm good) and I get by

with a lotta help from my friends!
