I would like to use it as starter if it's legal. FAGE contains Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptocarpis thermopolis (according to the label on the container). It is legal; I use it all the time as a starter with no problems.Judith (UC, RA, Sjogren's syndrome, asthma, osteoporosis, vaso-vagal syndrome; SCD 1 year)

Thanks Judith, I loved Fage yogurt for years before starting SCD and I'm glad I can continue to use it as a starter now. Here in Italy the lables only say "live cultures" but the company responded with the info.
