Guest guest
Mark, We burn our trash in a barrel rather than take it to the land fill where it may eventually leech underground and contaminate our artesian well, our current source of water for the farm. I never burn styrofoam or rubber, or anything other than paper, cardboard boxes, etc. I guess it is six of one and half dozen of another for us. When we drive to Toronto and coming down the highway can see the yellow haze that hangs over the city from all the pollution, I appreciate our clean air out here. I can actually see the stars at night, a rare event in the big cities up here. Just my opinion, but I think the pesticides are more of a hazzard than smoke from burn barrels. The farmers out here spray for weeds and you have to close your windows it is so strong in the air. We only let our renters use a bit of round up, and that is bad enuf. Bev rheumatic Don't burn that trash! Guess it doesn't pay to burn your trash. http://dailynews./h/nm/20000105/hl/psa_27.html Mark ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please click above to support our sponsor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
